Finally, he's back! On Thursday afternoon (5), midfielder Gerson was officially presented at Ninho do Urubu as the first reinforcement for the red-black team for the 2023 season. Mutual desire between the parties, the Joker celebrated his return home and gave an interview in the CT press room. Check out some excerpts below:

"It's such a joy to be by Gerson's side, and I'm so grateful for his efforts. I remember the day he left, and I told him I'd see him soon. It was an important moment for him and for us too. Return to Flamengo
"I'm very happy to be back home. I thank the president, Marcos, and Bruno. It was a really difficult negotiation; they were tireless. I was getting a little nervous because I wanted to resolve this situation quickly. Thank God everything went well, and I'm very happy to be back home. I've already started training and now I just have to wait for the 16 p.m. game at Maracanã, which I've been missing a lot."

Experience in France
"It's always good to learn something new in life. I learned a lot there. As a joker, I learned new roles, and I hope my return is the best it can be. I hope it's even better than the first, and with our cast, I think it's possible."

Reason for coming back
"The main reason was Flamengo. The affection and respect I have for Flamengo. When you're thinking about leaving a club and Flamengo enters the picture, it's complicated. The main reason is that it was Flamengo."

"A tribute to my partner Vini. Thiago Maia is wearing the number 8 jersey, and he's earned it. He's playing really well. He even offered it, but I told him he deserved to wear that number. My story has passed, and so has his."
