On Friday afternoon (10), goalkeeper Alex Muralha spoke to journalists in the press room at CT George Helal, in Vargem Grande. The athlete faces his former club next Sunday (12) and, among other topics, commented on what this experience will be like.

See the main excerpts:

Reunion with Figueirense

I'm incredibly grateful for everything Figueirense did for me. I have a lot of respect for the club. But now I'm at Flamengo, and I'll do everything I can to win every match. I have great friends there, but when the game starts, I'll do my best to get us the win. It's a very important game for them and for us. We need to be very focused.

Ownership in the red-black goal

The desire to stay that way is strong. It's a great honor to defend this club, but this is the coach's decision. Paulo Victor is a great goalkeeper, as are Thiago and Daniel. Whatever his choice, Flamengo will be well represented on the field.

Julius Caesar in the Nest

Julio is a great goalkeeper. Unfortunately, we didn't talk yesterday because when I got here, he had already left. But I'll try to get in touch. It's always good to talk to a guy like him, who's played for the Brazilian national team. It will be great to gain that experience with him.

Rafael Vaz

We played together in the interior of Paraná many years ago. It's great to see a teammate I played with so long ago again. I know he'll be a huge help to the team.

The weight of wearing the Flamengo shirt

The responsibility and pressure are immense here at Flamengo. When I arrived here, my mother asked if I was ready for this. I replied that I'd always worked toward this goal, focused on this moment.

Team's ambitions in the Brazilian Championship

We'll work to always fight at the top of the table. Being at a big club, we know we'll be held accountable. We still have a lot to improve, but we'll strive to be well-placed throughout the competition.
