After finishing activities this Thursday (02) at Ninho do Urubu, Alex Muralha spoke to journalists in the Victorino Chermont Press Room. Even highlighting the team's evolution since last year, the goalkeeper preached calm in the face of the positive results and good performances performed at the beginning of this current season. 

Among other topics, Muralha commented on his teammate, the young goalkeeper Thiago. Champion of the 2016 São Paulo Junior Football Cup and promoted to the Mais Querido's professional team that same year, the number 44 was highly praised by the current starting goalkeeper of the red-and-black team.

We goalkeepers like to work, but we're playing well and convincingly. We've been understanding what coach Zé Ricardo has been teaching us throughout the week and demonstrating it on the field. As a result, the results are coming. Congratulations to both the attack and defense. We've been playing very compactly. This boosts our confidence to perform well and get results.

I believe we'll grow even further. We had little time to prepare, but everyone has dedicated themselves immensely these past few days, and the results are coming. However, we still have a long way to go. We're just getting started. We have to keep our feet on the ground, without fussing. It's always good to win, but we need to keep working hard to keep winning.

We've been with Zé for a while, but we had the pleasure of participating in preseason with him for the first time. He was able to assign us more specific tasks, giving us time to work. Even though it was a short period, we were able to make the most of it. Progress is being good. Everyone is very focused, both defensively and offensively, playing in a compact manner. This is important for us to improve every day.

He's a very confident, fast, and explosive goalkeeper. He has all the qualities to be part of Flamengo. He understands the responsibility of wearing this jersey. We work hard every day, we talk a lot. We always help each other, pushing the training sessions even harder. It's the same not only with Thiago, but with everyone else who came up through the youth academy. They improve more every day. This ensures our work and our friendship prevail.
