Muricy praises Cirino and Wallace and sees improvements in the team

Coach praises greater number of successful passes and deep plays

By - in
Muricy didn't just celebrate Flamengo's victory over Macaé at Moacyrzão, this Wednesday (03). The coach also enjoyed seeing the team making fewer mistakes and making deep plays that posed danger to the opponent - like the one that led to Cirino's goal, with Jorge's dribbling and trivela, surprising him on the right.

The Flamengo coach also analyzed Wallace's current form and Alan Patrick's performance, who, according to him, could end up playing alongside Mancuello. Meanwhile, the Argentine and Colombian Cuéllar will have special training with the youth players on Friday to gain "field awareness."

Check out the main excerpts from the interview:

Analysis
Both teams felt the heavy pitch again. But we did what was necessary to win the game. The first round can't be analyzed in detail. Today's pitch was extremely heavy, very hot, and several of their players suffered cramps. On the other hand, our players held up well. The big difference from the first game was the physical aspect.

Cyrinus
He's a really fast player who plays high-intensity football. He's also a goal-scorer. He's very important to us. He's not fully recovered yet, but he's getting back into shape.

Mancuello and Cuéllar
We're taking advantage of this time to let them play when the administrative part is ready. We're going to have a special training session with them on Friday with the juniors. They need to get their feet wet on the field. They haven't done this in a long time, but they'll do it this week. They're happy and eager.

Midfield
Alan Patrick is a guy who can put that ball through. Now we'll also have Mmancuello, who came on very well against Ceará. He made a good impression in that game, working well with Emerson, Cirino, and Guerrero. He's very intelligent, positions himself well, and has good set pieces. He'll be a big help to us.

Wallace
Wallace is one of those guys who works really well. Guerrero was the same way, he worked hard and started scoring goals again. We're happy for him, and he has our full support. We have to respect people (about leaving the field without giving interviews). No one is obligated to speak.

alan patrick
He felt the rhythm of the game a bit; he hadn't played in a long time. But he has great technique and good passing, and he'll help us. Sometimes he could play with Mancuello; it depends on the game situation and training. It's possible. They're two players who control the game well.

Numbers
We've improved our misplaced passes a lot in these last few games. It's an important thing. Deep plays are also important; I think that's the way to go. When we get deep, it's difficult to score. We're improving in several areas where we had problems.
