In a press conference after training this Friday morning (12), coach Muricy Ramalho stated that he expects an open match, with Flamengo and Vasco looking to attack in the classic this Sunday (14), at 17 pm, in São Januário. In addition, the commander made no secret about the starting team that enters the field: Paulo Victor; Rodinei, Wallace, Juan and Jorge; Márcio Araújo, Willian Arão and Mancuello; Marcelo Cirino, Emerson and Guerrero.

I liked the field, I watched Vasco and Botafogo games at São Januário. I was happy, because some stadiums aren't fit for playing, and that's bad for us. São Januário has a good field, which is a plus for us. São Januário is a good stadium to play in; there's no problem at all.
Team evolution
We're improving little by little. We played well against Atlético-MG and Portuguesa, especially in the first half. The second half doesn't really matter, due to the red cards and all. We had an obligation and dominated the game, defended strongly, won the ball back quickly. We created several scoring opportunities. It's only been a month of work, and we're improving little by little. There's still a lot to do.
