After the victory over América-MG in Cariacica-ES, for the Primeira Liga Cup, coach Muricy Ramalho spoke to the press. In the press conference, the coach talked about the result and the team's current form.

"We played well against Atlético-MG. Against Portuguesa, it was our obligation to get that result. Today was a good test. América-MG is a strong, fast team with very good dynamics. It was a game within the normal range for the beginning of the season," he stated.

Muricy also praised the performance of the debuting Colombian midfielder, Gustavo Cuéllar.

"He improved in the second half. In the first, he was a bit hesitant. It's the first time he's played with the team. We're training, getting the players back in shape. Even with little time together, in the second half he loosened up more, played well, and had a lot of passes. With more time together, he'll become even more the important player we need him to be," he stated.
