After a 1-1 draw with Figueirense, Flamengo secured qualification for the Copa da Primeira Liga semi-finals with the best record and will have home advantage. Despite suffering from some fast counter-attacks from the opponent, Muricy believes the team is very offensive and has achieved the most important thing: qualification.

It's a short competition, it's kind of a knockout tournament, and you have to qualify. The game was very open, our team is offensive and sometimes leaves spaces open. We created many opportunities again, but we suffered from some counter-attacks. The important thing was to qualify.
Guerrero's growth at Flamengo
We came to the conclusion that when a player isn't doing well, you have to know why. Sometimes it's familial, psychological, and we concluded that he's a player who relies on strength, but he needs to train that strength. Last year, he was in a bad situation, and after a conversation in December, we saw that he lacked the strength for acceleration, for getting forward, dribbling, and holding the ball. This year we're doing specific training and we've identified what he needs. His training is going very well; he's finishing the game well. When he's in good shape, he's a really important player for us.
Ederson
We're being very careful with Ederson; he's feeling the effects of the game too much and his leg is heavy. He asked to be substituted early, but the good thing is that he's not feeling the injury (in his right knee). The pain is normal. You can tell he's a special player, very strong. When he's 100%, he'll help us a lot.
Mane Garrincha
I liked Brasília first because the stadium is very good. The pitch wasn't as good as last time, I don't know what happened, but we have to appreciate the place. We have a lot of fans here and it's good for the players to always play in the same place. We don't want to move around too much. Our home is the Maracanã, it's not the same, but considering what we have and the way the fans showed up, especially against Fluminense, it's positive here. Whenever we play here there's a large crowd. We have to prioritize and pay attention to a place that welcomes us well.
Flamengo's home ground in the Brazilian Championship
There are details missing, but those are things that don't reach the coach. Economic details and other things weigh heavily; the board is looking into it, but we're already looking at the Brazilian Championship, a dangerous competition. We need a place to play.
Midfield
I'm talking about what I have available right now. I might have (Alan) Patrick on Saturday to fill out the team, I don't know if he'll play. He also trained and didn't feel anything. He's going through a physical process, because he was another player who had muscle imbalances. As expected, everyone is fit to play, only Mancuello isn't. He'll take a little longer.

We're going to play two competitions very close together now, unfortunately we have to play on Saturday at 16 PM. Our recovery will be a big problem, and the opponent is resting. We have to be strong in our recovery; it's time to use our structure and squad. It's not easy with two trips, and we already have another one on Friday. Today, physical conditioning is very important in football, and I put this team that played today to train for almost 10 days straight. Of course, we respect doctors and physiologists, but we have to look at the players during medical check-ups. We'll think about the team. We have a good squad, and the idea last week was to field today's team in both games. It might change with tomorrow's exams, but the tendency is that the same team will play.

We respect the player's characteristics. He's a different kind of midfielder, more of an attacking midfielder than a defensive midfielder. His strength is further up the field. Our team plays quite openly, they'll struggle a bit, but that's part of the game. Nowadays, midfielders have to play, and both of them (Arão and Cuéllar) know that.

That's why you can't close anything off in football. There's no such thing as a closed group. Kayke's departure? He's different from Vizeu, who's a fixture. But, in business terms, I couldn't miss out on making good money, both the kid (Kayke) and the club itself. It's also good to give opportunities to a homegrown player. We have to create space in the squad so that homegrown players can play. If I had Kayke (who was out injured), I think Vizeu wouldn't have scored goals and nobody would know him. There are other young players to be given opportunities. The number of defenders isn't ideal, we need one more, although we're happy with the ones we have.
Requested by César Martins
I'm already thinking about him staying; I don't know if Benfica will agree, but it's a request I'm going to make.
Attacker
We don't have a sprinter like Emerson. We're looking at young players we can also develop. The player needs to leave something behind for the club. We reached an agreement with Cuéllar, who did very well. We have the intelligence department; another player might arrive, but we need to be patient.
