After a beautiful victory in the last round, Flamengo returns to the field for the Brazilian Championship. Traveling to Salvador, Rubro-Negro will have a great challenge ahead, facing Bahia this Sunday (25), at 18:30 pm, at Arena Fonte Nova.

The Mais Querido comes from a great victory against Chapecoense. On Thursday (22), Flamengo defeated the Santa Catarina team 5-1 at Ilha do Urubu and celebrated with the fans at home. With the result, Mengo took eighth place with 14 points.

Tickets for the red-black fans will be sold at the Fonte Nova visiting ticket office on Saturday (24), from 10 am to 16 pm. Tickets are being sold for R$60 (R$30 half price).

Retrospect
Flamengo and Bahia have faced each other 82 times in history. Bahia has won 28 times, drawn 30 times, and lost 24 times. In total, Flamengo has scored 113 goals against Bahia's 88.

The first meeting between the teams was 85 years ago, in 1932, when Flamengo defeated Bahia 3-2 in a friendly match played in Salvador. In the Brazilian Championship, their history of confrontations began in 1971, when the clubs drew 1-1 at Fonte Nova and Zico scored for Flamengo.

In the 1981 Brazilian Championship, Flamengo and Bahia met in the round of 16 and battled for qualification. After a 0-0 draw in Salvador, the teams played again in Rio de Janeiro, and the red-and-black team won 2-0, with goals from Nunes.
