In Argentina, Flamengo holds its final training session before its Libertadores debut against Vélez Sarsfield

Already in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Flamengo held this Monday (19) the last training session before the debut in the 2021 Libertadores against the Vélez Sarsfield team, which takes place tomorrow (20), at 21:30 pm, at the José Amalfitani stadium. The Mais Querido is in Group G of the continental competition alongside Vélez, LDU and Unión La Calera.

At Casa Amarilla, Boca Juniors' training center, coach Rogério Ceni led a tactical session with the Flamengo players. Defender Rodrigo Caio is the only player unavailable for Flamengo's game this Tuesday, as he was sent off in the match against Racing in the round of 16 of the 2020 Copa Libertadores.

Flamengo and Vélez Sarsfield have faced each other nine times, with Flamengo holding the advantage. They have won six times, drawn once, and lost twice. In their last encounter, Flamengo won 2-0 at the Maracanã in the 2000 Mercosur Cup. Adriano and Roma scored the goals for Flamengo's victory.
