After playing a series of three games away from Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo returns home this Saturday (13) and the next commitment is a classic against Fluminense. The match will be valid for the 29th round of the Brazilian Championship and the ball will roll at Maracanã starting at 17 pm.
Flamengo is coming off a great result in the competition. In the last round, the team managed by Dorival Júnior beat Corinthians 3-0 in São Paulo. The three points against Fluminense are crucial to remain firmly in the fight for the Brasileirão title.
Flamengo is currently in third place in the Brazilian Championship with 52 points and hasn't lost in the competition for five rounds.

Goalkeeper César gave a press conference the day before the match and stressed the importance of the three points to remain firmly in the fight for the Brazilian Championship title.
"What we can expect is a great game. The Fluminense team is qualified and is coming off a good result, as are we. We'll go after the result, and it will be a great game. We've been working hard to get these points that we've been longing for."
Dorival Júnior will be in charge of Flamengo for the third time in the competition, and the number 37 player praised the week of work with the coach.
"It's always good to have a full week to work and for the coach to fine-tune some things in our team. He's an excellent coach and he's helping us. We hope the work will come together well for these last few games we have. They're crucial matches and we hope we'll have a good game."

The last time these two teams faced each other was in the first round of the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo won 2-0 with goals from Henrique Dourado and Felipe Vizeu, playing at the Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasília.
