Just eight minutes in, Léo Pereira delivered a beautiful pass to Wesley, who crossed to Pedro, but the striker narrowly missed the ball. The two teams were closely guarded until Arrascaeta was fouled near the box; the number 8 shot dangerously, hitting the paint off the opponent's post.
In the 28th minute, Arrascaeta again drove through midfield, being well-marked, and was fouled; this time, Pulgar took the shot, and the ball deflected out for a corner. Then, in the 35th minute, Gerson found a beautiful cross for Arrascaeta, who headed the ball past the goalkeeper.

The number 14 again appeared in Mengão's attack. In the 30th minute, the midfielder received a pass from Bruno Henrique, who shot from outside the box, posing a threat to the opponent's goal.
At 42, Arrascaeta took a precise corner kick to Fabrício Bruno, who headed it; the goalkeeper saved it and it hit the post; on the rebound, the defender kicked again and the ball was saved, falling to Bruno Henrique, but the opposing defense cleared it to the goal line.

Flamengo started the second half by taking the initiative to attack. In the 12th minute, Wesley delivered a beautiful pass to Léo Pereira, who crossed, but the ball deflected, nearly opening the scoring for Mengão. After a quick break from Flamengo, Gerson passed to Bruno Henrique, who cut inside and shot into the goalkeeper's hands.

At 30, Thiago Maia found a pass to Gabigol on the left, who crossed into the area, but the defense cleared poorly, leaving Gerson to open the scoring for Rubro-Negro.
