An electrifying match marked the red-black team's debut in the 2017 season. From the first moments of the first half, the team's behavior was that of someone with a mission on the field: to win the three points. The left-back, making his official debut wearing the Sacred Mantle, started the match by demonstrating his credentials. On Flamengo's first attack, the left-back delivered a curling cross to Mancuello, who was unable to reach the ball. However, the best was yet to come.

On the second opportunity, his compatriot made no mistake. After a pinpoint cross from number 13, top scorer Paolo Guerrero headed the ball firmly toward goal. Goalkeeper Felipe still managed to clear the ball, but it wasn't enough to prevent the opening of the scoring. Flamengo took the lead.

The team continued to move well across the pitch, with midfielder Diego standing out. Whether on the wings or more centrally, the team's best opportunities always came from his ability to coordinate. Throughout the midfield, with deep passes and shots from outside the box, he set the pace of the attack.

Another strong performance came from another athlete making his first official appearance wearing the Sacred Mantle. Rômulo performed well in the central sector alongside Willian Arão. Relentless in marking and with excellent ball movement, the defensive midfielder was a key player both defensively and in building plays.

Despite the strong performance, Boavista went into halftime tied. At the end of the first half, Mosquito equalized for Boavista, completing a cross from the left side of the Saquarema team's attack.

In the second half for the final 45 minutes, Trauco once again demonstrated his skill. After a fine exchange of passes between Guerrero and Mancuello at the edge of the box, the Argentine saw the Peruvian full-back's run through the middle of the defense and delivered a perfect pass to the number 13, who, with a classy touch, restored Flamengo's lead.

The last two goals came after Rodineim came on, replacing Adryan and joining Pará on the right flank. It was his cross that saw Guerrero score Flamengo's third goal of the match. Another precise finish from the center forward gave Flamengo an even bigger lead. And then, in the dying minutes, Trauco notched his second assist of the night and set Diego up one-on-one with Felipe to seal the win at Arena das Dunas.

Next Wednesday (01), Mais Querido will face Macaé in the second round of the Campeonato Carioca. The match will be played at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, in Volta Redonda, with the ball rolling from 19:30 pm.
