Flamengo returned to Ninho do Urubu, this Friday (02), beginning preparations for the duel against Bahia for the Brazilian Championship. Before the activity led by coach Jorge Jesus, defender Matheus Thuler gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room. 

Starting in the match against Emelec, at Maracanã, the Boy from the Nest spoke about the whirlwind of emotions that took place last Wednesday. 

"It was a mix of emotions. Joy, anxiety, but my teammates and coaching staff helped. I stayed calm, played a great game, and in the end, everything worked out. Thank God we won and qualified. Now it's time to keep working," said the defender.

Regarding Mister Jorge Jesus' methodology, Thuler highlighted the evolution of the sector.

"Jesus is a great coach and has a very good mentality. We're improving, having time to work. We're going to minimize the goals we've been conceding," he emphasized. 

Regarding Filipe Luís's debut with the Sacred Mantle, the player joked. 

"I don't know if he'll play or not. Everyone knows that Filipe Luís is a great player. If he gets on the field, he'll help us, and we're sure he'll bring us a lot of joy this year and during his time here at Flamengo."
