Petkovic says he will support Brazil and Flamengo players at the World Cup in South Africa

The World Cup in South Africa doesn't begin until June 11th, but it's already become a hot topic of conversation among friends in Brazil and around the world. Flamengo is no exception. Expectations are high for the call-ups of Fierro and Maldonado to the Chilean national team, and Adriano and Kleberson to the Brazilian national team. Teammates assure us they're rooting for their friends.
This is the case, for example, with Serbian Petkovic. The experienced midfielder won't be going to the World Cup for his country, but will be cheering on his Flamengo teammates.
"Everyone is rooting for them. The entire Red-Black Nation. It's important to have representatives of the club in the national teams. If I went to Serbia, everyone would be rooting for me too. I'm rooting for Maldonado and Fierro in the Chilean national team and for Kleberson and Adriano in Brazil," he said.
In addition to wanting to see his friends' success in the World Cup, Pet wants to see Brazil become six-time champions, just like Flamengo.
