On the eve of their World Cup debut, Jesus and Rafinha speak to the press

Everything is ready for the debut in the FIFA Club World Cup. After three days of adaptation and training, the Flamengo squad is ready to face Al Hilal, their semifinal opponent, in Doha, Qatar. Before inspecting the Khalifa International Stadium pitch, coach Jorge Jesus and right-back Rafinha held a press conference. The coach spoke about the pressure of leading Flamengo in such important competitions in 2019. For him, it's an added motivation to always be competing for major titles.

"It's a year of pressure, but much more of satisfaction. And that's what we'll try to convey in our game: a pleasure, a joy, a great spectacle to try to win. This pressure is synonymous with success. Who doesn't want that? I want to live my whole life with that pressure," he stated.

The right-back dismissed any projections about the final before facing this Tuesday's opponent.

"We're fully prepared on this matter. Our thoughts are on Al Hilal. If fans or some media outlet simulate the final against Liverpool, that's what everyone wants, but we don't think so. Many Brazilians fell by the wayside, and we can't repeat those mistakes. If we get through, we'll focus on the final," he emphasizes.

Flamengo faces Al Hilal this Tuesday (17), at 14:30 pm, Brasília time.
