Upon the return of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo hosts Sport Recife this Sunday at Ilha do Urubu, at 4 pm, for the 24th round. Currently in fifth place, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) seeks a victory that could put the team back in the top four and boost confidence for Wednesday's Copa Sudamericana match against Chapecoense.

During Friday's training session, the last one open to the press, midfielder Diego spoke about Sunday's match.

To date, the two teams have faced each other 47 times, with 21 wins for Flamengo, 11 draws, and 15 losses. Flamengo has scored 70 goals and conceded 56.
