With goals from De Arrascaeta, Bruno Henrique, and Pedro Rocha, the Rubro-Negro defeated Bangu 3-0 at Maracanã, earning their fourth victory in the second half of the competition.

The Mais Querido created good chances from the start and dominated the first half without any scares. In the 18th minute, Rafinha crossed and Arrascaeta took advantage of the rebound from the opposing defense to open the scoring. On the next play, the Uruguayan almost extended the lead with a header. Despite putting in a lot of pressure, Mengão went into halftime leading 1-0.
The second half was much the same. In the eleventh minute, Gabigol made a beautiful play, and Bruno Henrique nearly scored. With the duo inspired, another goal was only a matter of time. And in the 20th minute, it came. The striker went to the baseline and served the King of Classics, who tapped it into the back of the net: 2-0.
With five substitutions available, Coach Jorge Jesus took advantage of the situation to make some serious changes to his lineup.
