Wednesday's tactical training session at Gávea featured a new twist. Coach Ney Franco opted to field a team with three center-backs: Moisés, Thiago, and Ronaldo Angelim. In midfield, in addition to wingers Leonardo Moura and Juan, he fielded Paulinho, Claiton, and Renato, opting for Renato Augusto and Souza up front. During the session, Ney Franco gave Léo Medeiros a chance in Paulinho's place.

The red-black coach, however, said that he intends to define on Friday the team that will face Goiás, Sunday, at 16 pm, at Serra Dourada.

"What I did in this training session was observe a formation. If the quality of the work we'll do until Friday indicates that this is the best option, we'll start the match against Goiás with three defenders," said Ney.
