After two defeats in their opening matches, Flamengo took to the field with a different attitude and defeated Portuguesa 2-1 this Thursday at Farroupilha Stadium in Rio Grande do Sul. The victory kept the red-and-black team alive in Group 4 of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, with three points from three matches. On Saturday, Flamengo faces Atlético-PR at 19:30 pm, needing a victory again to try to qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition. SPORTV will broadcast the game live.

In last night's match, Flamengo came out strong and gave the São Paulo team no chance. Portuguesa opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a Piraju goal, but coach Adílio's team ran hard and turned the match around with goals from Diogo and Bruno.
