Flamengo fans had a different start to the evening this Sunday. They could see, side by side, idols from three different generations exchanging passes and making brilliant plays at the Maracanã. In the "Game of the Stars," Zico, Romário, and Adriano led the party. The Emperor didn't leave his, but the greatest idol in Flamengo's history and the eternal number 11 scored three and two goals, respectively, delighting the more than 70 fans in attendance at the World's Greatest Stadium.

The match was historic for several reasons. Flamengo, with players from the 80s, 90s, and the current squad, faced the Amigos do Zico team, made up of former athletes like Edmundo and still-active stars like Palmeiras forward Vagner Love and Brazilian futsal player Falcão. But the highlight of the night could only be the embrace between Galinho and Romário before the ball rolled. The duel sealed the peace between two of the greatest players of all time, who proved on the field that all their problems are more than overcome.

The duel between Flamengo and Amigos do Zico ended in a 5-5 draw. The red-and-black goals were all scored by the duo. The white-and-black team opened the scoring, but Galinho soon added their own. Zico made a beautiful cutback for Adriano, who was brought down in the box. The King wanted to give the Emperor a gift, but he didn't accept the "gift" and returned the favor to the host of the party. The penalty kick was as classy as ever, the ball in the net, and celebrations in the stands: 1-1. It was the first sign that this dream trio would work very well.

Zico and Romário repeated the same line for the second goal. Galinho and Baixinho exchanged passes at the edge of the box, the number 11 went down, and the ball fell to the number 10, who beat Carlos Germano and made it 2-1. During the celebration, the biggest Flamengo idol bowed to the fans who had cheered him on at the Maracanã. It was just the beginning. Djalminha later equalized, but Romário scored again in the second half, making it 3-2. Zico's Friends managed to turn the score around with Falcão and Felipe Adão, but once again, the Penalty Genius's star shined.

In an individual play, Ibson was brought down in the box. Baixinho's shot capriciously hit the crossbar before going in: 4-4. Excited, the more than 70 fans in attendance (55.821 paying fans) pushed Flamengo to the comeback. And it didn't take long. In the box, Renato Gaúcho passed to Romário, who found Zico free. Romário simply pushed the ball in to score the fifth: 5-4. Immediately after the play, Flamengo's greatest player in history left the field to a standing ovation. Shortly after, Zico's Friends equalized, giving the game its final score, with Bruno Morais.
