Flamengo's new uniform line, launched by Olympikus, the club's sports equipment supplier, last Friday morning at an event at the FlaConcept megastore, located at the club's headquarters, appears to have been a hit with the Flamengo Nation. The Gávea club's official Twitter profile published firsthand photos of the presentation and received numerous comments praising the new Sacred Mantle.

Since signing the partnership agreement with Flamengo, OLK has demonstrated great concern for its fans. After all, there are over 35 million passionate fans of the Rubro-Negro, who have always been very interested in the club's product line. And the response to the supplier's initiatives has been very positive. In addition to the high sales of the old model (over one million pieces in less than six months), the positive comments about the new jersey are also encouraging.

"The gray shirt looks really nice, as does the black goalkeeper shirt. The main thing is awesome!", commented user AfroRomando.

From the launch of the 2010 uniform, shortly before 13 p.m. this Friday, until the store closed around 19:30 p.m., 327 shirts of the number one uniform (red-and-black) alone were sold, at a unit cost of R$159,90. An average of approximately 46 shirts per hour on the first day alone and at a single point of sale. On Orkut, the new Manto was also a hit.

"I really liked the Rubro-Negra. The second shirt, the white one, with the return of the full shield, was really good," said Fatio, a member of the Flamengo community.

The new red-and-black uniform will take to the field for the first time on the 24th, Wednesday, in Flamengo's debut in the Copa Libertadores da América.
