On Wednesday night (30), Flamengo met the Espírito Santo fans again when they faced Paraná at the Kléber Andrade stadium, in Cariacica, in the quarterfinals of the Primeira Liga Cup. After a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes, Mais Querido said goodbye to the competition after being defeated on penalties by 5-4.

In the first half, Flamengo tried to create opportunities and break through Paraná's well-positioned defense. As a result, Flamengo managed few dangerous shots, such as one from a solo play by Felipe Vizeu in the 16th minute. Dominating possession and the match, Flamengo went into halftime with the score at 0-0.

The second half began with more attempts from both sides. Creating good opportunities through Vinicius Junior and Paquetá, Flamengo managed a dangerous chance through Geuvânio. After a header from the number 23, the ball hit the opposing player's arm, and the referee signaled a penalty.
