It is with great sadness that Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announces the death of masseur Jorge Luiz Domingos, better known as Jorginho, the longest-serving employee of the Football Department and with four decades dedicated with great love, affection and seriousness to the club.

 

Jorginho was hospitalized at Hospital da Ilha do Governador and suffered cardiac arrest due to complications from Covid-19 this Monday (04/05). Over the course of 40 years, Jorginho won countless titles with Flamengo and was a key player in the Brazilian National Team's fifth World Cup title in 2002.  

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo offers its condolences to Jorginho's family, friends and colleagues and will be eternally grateful for his dedication to the club over many years.
