Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announces that Gerson's employment contract was terminated this Friday (July 04, 07), following his unilateral resignation and termination, as well as the full payment of the severance pay stipulated in the contract. The amount, €25 million, was deposited by FC Zenit St. Petersburg of Russia.

Flamengo thanks the athlete for his time with the team, during which he won several titles, honored the Red-Black jersey, and became an idol for his dedication on the field. The club wishes him continued success in his career.
