Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that athlete Gonzalo Plata will return to Rio de Janeiro next Friday (6) to continue treatment on his right knee with the club's Medical Department, with the aim of being in full condition to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The decision was made after a meeting between the medical departments of Flamengo and the Ecuadorian national team, held on Tuesday afternoon (3), in a cordial atmosphere. On the occasion, the Ecuadorian Football Federation presented its considerations and apologized for any misunderstanding that occurred throughout the process.

Flamengo thanks the federation for its understanding and constructive dialogue in resolving the case.
