Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that, in a meeting held on Friday afternoon (17), coach Jorge Jesus announced that, exercising his contractual right, he is leaving the Club to return to Portugal. Despite regretting the loss of its victorious coach, Flamengo respects this personal decision. 

In the 13 months that Jorge Jesus managed our professional football team, Flamengo had a spectacular performance, winning the Copa Libertadores (2019), the Brazilian Championship (2019), the Brazilian Super Cup (2020), the Recopa Sudamericana (2020), the Taça Guanabara (2020) and, last Wednesday (15), the Campeonato Carioca (2020). 

On behalf of the entire board and the 42 million red-black fans who make up the Biggest Fanbase in the World, our biggest thanks to him and his entire coaching staff for everything they have done and our wish that they continue to maintain the enormous success they have had with us.

Flamengo, following what its anthem advocates - and what Jorge Jesus represented so well - will continue with its usual objective: Win, win, win!
