Official Note: Professional Football Department
By Communication - Flamengo - inThe board of directors, coaching staff and professional athletes of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have come forward to publicly express their views on the return of professional football activities at the George Helal Training Center.
The athletes and members involved in the day-to-day running of Ninho do Urubu report that they feel safe and able to resume training due to the safety and prevention protocol adopted by Flamengo's Medical Department.
The protocol was implemented in accordance with the strictest international safety regulations. Employees, athletes, and members of the coaching staff tested negative for COVID-19 and were also examined daily by the Medical Department.
Flamengo's Training Center has the necessary equipment and also undergoes rigorous daily sanitization. It is no surprise that the club has adopted 13 measures to resume activities, which were announced last Monday (18).
After exams upon reappearance and physical tests the following day, training resumed on Wednesday (20) in accordance with the FERJ (Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation) protocol. It is worth noting that the document includes outdoor activities. Therefore, the work groups are spread across the Ninho do Urubu fields.
Finally, Flamengo's professional football players and players reiterate their understanding of this difficult time and are willing to collaborate with actions that favor the fight against the novel coronavirus and the return to training.
