Clube de Regatas do Flamengo publicly repudiates, with absolute indignation, the acts of racism committed against striker Bruno Henrique by members of the River Plate fan group after the match this Friday (3), at Estádio Algarve, in Portugal.

During the game, the athlete was the target of insults from fans of the Argentinian team. After the final whistle, the attacks intensified on social media, where he began to receive a large volume of racist comments and messages.

Flamengo expresses its full solidarity and support for Bruno Henrique, one of the greatest idols in the club's history. There is no room for any form of prejudice inside or outside the stadiums.

Combating racism is a permanent commitment of Flamengo. Addressing discrimination is enshrined in the club's bylaws, which have undergone successive advancements, including, in 2025, the expansion of sanctions for any practice or encouragement of discrimination. Furthermore, the club develops ongoing racial awareness and literacy initiatives, especially in its youth categories, through institutional campaigns, training projects, and partnerships with institutions such as CUFA, ID_BR, and MUHCAB.

Racism is a crime and cannot be normalized or treated with tolerance. Flamengo will continue to act firmly in combating all forms of discrimination and reiterates that victims or witnesses should report cases to the competent authorities.
