Official Note - Details of the Vinicius Júnior negotiation

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs details of the athlete's transfer

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and Real Madrid CF have reached an agreement to transfer the federation rights of athlete Vinicius Junior starting in July 2018. In addition to the information already released, Flamengo hereby announces that:
 
- The total value of the transaction is 45 million euros;
 
- Vinicius Júnior recently renewed his employment contract with Flamengo. The contract includes a salary increase and an increase in his severance pay from €30 million to €45 million. 
 
- Vinicius Júnior's contract with Flamengo stipulates that he will remain with the club until July 2019. The agreement with Real Madrid maintains this term through a loan agreement with Flamengo. However, the player may transfer to the Spanish club as early as July 2018, if he so wishes and there is an agreement between the two clubs;
 
- The entire negotiation proves the affection that the athlete has for Flamengo and the club would like to emphasize that all parties involved sought the best for the athlete's development and career.
 
About Vinicius Junior
 
Vinicius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior is 16 years old (12/07/2000) and is from the municipality of São Gonçalo, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.
 
Playing for the Brazilian under-17 team, Vinicius Júnior was the top scorer and star player in the last edition of the South American Championship. Wearing the Sacred Mantle, the youngster shone in all youth categories and was a highlight of this year's São Paulo Junior Football Cup. He made his professional debut in the 1-1 draw with Atlético-MG at Maracanã and returned to action in the 3-0 victory over Atlético-GO, last Saturday (20), at Serra Dourada, for the Brazilian Championship.
 
Alongside other young talents from the red-black team, Vinicius was part of the "Pratas do Ninho" project, which seeks, in a planned way, to facilitate the transition of athletes from the youth team to professional football.
