Flamengo secured a major victory this Wednesday, following a final ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The CAS ruled that Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr will have to pay the club approximately €3,1 million—about R$11 million—for the first installment of the debt for the purchase of striker Hernane in 2014. The amount includes interest and a fine and must be paid within 30 days.
If Al Nassr fails to make the payment within the deadline set by CAS, FIFA may apply sporting sanctions to the Arab club.
