The red-and-black squad that will head to Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo, this Wednesday for preseason training for 2010 has already been selected. Coach Andrade will have 27 players under his command, at least for now, to begin preparations for a year that features several important competitions, such as the fight for the fourth state championship and the Copa Libertadores.
Among the new signings are goalkeeper Marcelo Carné and full-back Vitor Saba, both rising stars of the youth academy. Midfielders Leo Medeiros and Vinícius Pacheco, as well as forward Obina, who returned from loan spells, will be included. Galhardo, Jorbison, and Diego Maurício, who are on the U-20 team, will not travel. Of the 32 players who reported for duty on Tuesday, seven will not travel: Maldonado, Amendoim, Antônio, Pecka, Renan Silva, Rômulo, and Marlon.
