At this afternoon's training session in Gávea, coach Joel Santana repeated the lineup from yesterday's tactical training and practically confirmed the team for Thursday's match against Volta Redonda, at Maracanã.

Joel fielded Bruno, Luizinho, Rodrigo, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Jailton, Jônatas, Ibson, and Kleberson; and Diego Tardelli and Souza. The Flamengo manager was pleased with the starters' performance, having spent much of the training session praising the team's performance.

The starting lineup ended up winning 2-0, with goals from Souza and Diego Tardelli. The new attacking duo worked well together and created several scoring opportunities.
