The numbers prove the full-back's growth. In 2018, his performance matched the club's approach, and Renê became increasingly important to the offensive and defensive system developed by Maurício Barbieri. In 23 matches, the number 6 made 77 tackles, 16 of which came in the five CONMEBOL Libertadores matches. Statistics point to him as the team's best tackler and fifth-best in the championship.

Compared to the Copa do Brasil, the numbers are even more remarkable: there were 14 disarms in just two matches. In total, there were 1.058 successful passes, two yellow cards, and four fouls committed.

Overall, he has played 57 matches, won 31, drawn 17, and lost nine, scoring one goal. Furthermore, the number 6 is the player who has played the most minutes for the Sacred Mantle this season. So far, Renê has played 2.071 minutes, followed by Lucas Paquetá with 1.958.
