Flamengo has emerged in recent months as one of the biggest powers in Brazilian football. Besides being crowned state champion in 2017, the "Mais Querido" is fighting for the top spots in the Brazilian Championship, is in the Copa do Brasil final, and also has a chance in the CONMEBOL South American Cup and the Copa da Primeira Liga. And it's not just in the standings that the quality of Flamengo's football is reflected—several other statistics attest to this fact.

Even though it's one of the clubs that has played the most games this year - 56 so far -, Mais Querido has the second highest success rate: 64,9%. There are 31 wins and 16 draws - in absolute numbers, Fla is the team that has won the most in 2017. Rubro-Negro has already scored 101 goals and conceded less than half (47) in official games.

According to Footstats, Mais Querido is the second team with the most successful passes in the Brazilian Championship - 8651; the second team with the most successful shots (119); has the third highest-scoring attack (31 goals); and is the team with the most successful crosses (134).

On the 27th, Flamengo became the first Brazilian club to surpass the 100-goal mark in official matches in 2017. This feat hadn't been achieved since 2014, when Flamengo finished the year with 108 goals. The 2002st-century record was set in 123, when they scored XNUMX goals.

Paolo Guerrero, with 19 goals, leads the way in the scoring charts. Next come Diego (12); Leandro Damião and Everton (8) and Willian Arão (7). The list is completed by Berrío (6); Mancuello, Rodinei, Trauco, Felipe Vizeu and Everton Ribeiro (4); Matheus Savio, Réver and Vinicius Jr (3); Gabriel and Paquetá (2); Cuéllar, Juan, Renê, Rafael Vaz, Romulo, Pará and Geuvânio (1). The Most Beloved also had an own goal in their favor, against Macaé, in the Carioca Championship.

Flamengo scored 4 or more goals in 90 minutes on 8 occasions: 4-1 against Boavista; 4-0 against Nova Iguaçu; 4-0 against Madureira; 4-0 against San Lorenzo-ARG; 5-1 against Portuguesa-RJ; 5-1 against Chapecoense; and 5-2 and 5-0 against Palestino-CHI.

Ilha do Urubu stands out as the venue for most of these goals - 24 have been scored at Flamengo's stadium. Next come Raulino de Oliveira (18), Maracanã (16), and three stadiums tied for fourth place: Engenhão, Serra Dourada, and La Cisterna, in Santiago, Chile - all venues for five Flamengo goals this year. Flamengo also found the net at Arena das Dunas, Mané Garrincha, and Moça Bonita (all four times); Arena da Baixada, Vila Belmiro, and Pacaembu (twice); and Bezerrão, Fonte Nova, Itaquerão, Kleber Andrade, Mineirão, Nuevo Gasómetro, Ressacada, and São Januário (one goal each).
