Celebrate, Nation! He's staying! Top scorer Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, has signed a contract with Flamengo until December 2024 following an agreement between the club and Inter Milan. Scorer of both goals in the 2019 CONMEBOL Libertadores final, the number 9 and idol will continue to score while wearing the Sacred Mantle. 

In his first season at Mais Querido, Gabriel Barbosa scored 43 goals: 25 in the Brazilian Championship, 9 in the Conmebol Libertadores, 7 in the Carioca Championship and 2 in the Copa do Brasil. 

In his first words, the player expressed his happiness at being able to continue at the Biggest in the World: 

"The Nation embraced me. Here we live intensely. We fall in love, smile, suffer and vibrate. We break barriers and, if it is for the good of the Nation, I will stay."
