The Most Beloved: Member chooses a phrase from the mosaic and receives a call from Everton Ribeiro
The action had the participation of more than 5 thousand members of the Nação Rubro-Negra Program
By Flamengo Communication - inThe Most Beloved. This is the phrase that will decorate the stands of Maracanã in the duel against Fortaleza, this Saturday (05), at 17 pm. The phrase is the result of an action by the Nação Rubro-Negra Program, which called on its fan members to participate by sending suggestions for the mosaic located in the Lower East sector of the stadium. The cry of encouragement, chosen by captain Everton Ribeiro, was suggested by member Lincoln Garcia, from Méier, Rio de Janeiro.
"We are a Nation with more than 40 million people who support this Club and who will always be there wherever we go to support the Most Beloved in Brazil (and the World)," said the member-fan to the Program.
In total, more than five thousand fan members sent suggestions for the mosaic, between Monday (31) and Wednesday (03). Among these, 16 sent the option "The Most Loved", which was selected by the red-black captain.
"Hey, Nation. Today [yesterday] I came here to thank everyone who sent suggestions for the phrase of the great mosaic that we will have against Fortaleza, on Saturday. And the one we chose was 'The Most Beloved', suggested by member Lincoln Garcia", said Ribeiro, in a video recorded at Ninho do Urubu, Flamengo's Training Center (check here).
The first to suggest the chosen option, member Lincoln Garcia received yet another surprise: a call from Everton Ribeiro thanking him for his support and participation (Click here and watch the video).
"When Everton called me, I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a recording at first, because I've already received some recorded calls from Rodrigo Caio and Michael, for example. It took a while for it to sink in, it was very emotional. I think I froze at the time and ended up not being able to convey everything I wanted. He is one of my biggest Flamengo idols that I've ever seen play. I can only thank Flamengo for the opportunity and him for giving us so many titles and masterful plays wearing the Mengão shirt," the fan said emotionally.
And the choice paid off: Flamengo beat Fortaleza 2-1 this Saturday (05), at Maracanã. The goals for the Most Beloved were scored by Everton Ribeiro and Gabigol. With the result, Mengão achieved its third consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship.
