"Our biggest project is to play ball"
Luxa emphasizes the importance of completing the CT project, but knows he also needs results on the field.

Vanderlei Luxemburgo's plan at Flamengo is long-term. He has a two-year contract, wants to help complete the construction at Ninho do Urubu, and plans to develop the club's youth academy. But he knows that to be successful in all this, he needs to show results on the field—as he has already been doing, winning seven of the last nine points.
The coach explains that the team's biggest project, at the moment, is to achieve victories and finish the Brazilian Championship in a better position than the current one, aiming for a place in next year's Copa Sudamericana.
"Flamengo has a plan not only for football but also for the training center, and I'm satisfied. I'm discussing the project, talking a lot, having meetings, but the biggest project right now is playing football. If we don't win games, there's no plan at all. Thank God, we're getting out of trouble, and along with that, we're moving forward in other situations," he said.
Luxa, who has five Brazilian titles under his belt, has never won a Copa Libertadores, a competition that has also become a major goal for Flamengo in recent years, but he does not place the championship as a priority in his future at Rubro-Negro.
"The Libertadores, which people say is missing, but it's part of it. I have many achievements, the important thing is what you did in football, what you left as a legacy. I don't shy away from getting involved in this area," he concluded.
Flamengo is off this Sunday, and also on Monday. The team will return to training next Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ninho do Urubu.
