One of Flamengo's standout players in the first round of the Campeonato Carioca, striker Obina hopes to score his first goal of the 2009 season on Thursday, when the red-and-black team faces Bangu, at 16:30 p.m., at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, in Volta Redonda.

"That goal has to come. I'm always hoping to score, but it didn't happen in the first game. Adriano closed the goal, and I couldn't celebrate on my debut. The ball didn't go in, but I'm sure it will tomorrow," said the player.

To score his first goal in the Campeonato Carioca, Obina relies on the help of his new attacking partner, young Everton, who was confirmed by Cuca as a starter for the second round.

"Now it's Everton's turn. The attack changes a bit. It's Cuca's choice, and I think we'll gain more movement and play on the wing. We trained like this in the training match at Granja Comary, and it's nothing new for us. I hope we play well and help Flamengo secure another victory in the championship."
