One of the players who has worn the Flamengo jersey the most times in the current squad, 152 in total, striker Obina has given his full support to the new Flamengo starting striker, center forward Josiel. Despite competing for a position with the number 9, Obina says this is the time to instill confidence in the 2007 Brazilian Championship's top scorer.

"The battle for a spot in attack is strong, but it should be healthy. Josiel is in the driving seat right now. The other forwards and I are on the outside looking in, but we're always rooting for him and doing everything we can to help him. We love Josiel, and we know we need his goals.
