Striker is out of the Brazilian Championship for attacking Internacional's Índio

Flamengo will be without Obina for the remainder of the Brazilian Championship. The Superior Court of Justice (STJD), by majority, found the striker guilty of physically assaulting Internacional defender Índio (watch the incident below) and suspended him for 120 days, the minimum penalty for violating Article 253 of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (committing physical assault against the referee or his assistants, or against any other participant in the sporting event).

Even though he wasn't sent off in the match against Colorado, which Rubro-Negro lost 3-0, the player was reported by prosecutor Paulo Schmitt thanks to the TV images.
