One of Flamengo's fan favorites, striker Obina made history for the club by scoring two goals in yesterday afternoon's draw against Goiás at the Maracanã. The number 18 from Gávea reached 28 goals in the Brazilian Championship, becoming the fifth highest scorer for Flamengo in the competition.

With 28 goals scored in four editions, Obina joined the select group of stars who shone in the Flamengo jersey in the Brazilian Championship. The top scorer is Zico, who scored 133 goals. Nunes, 34, Romário, 37, and Bebeto, 41, complete the group of the five top scorers for Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship.

Since joining Flamengo in 2005, Obina has played 161 games and scored 46 goals. The striker won the 2006 Copa do Brasil and the 2007 and 2008 Campeonato Carioca.
