Obina happy with the opportunity among the starters
The striker should form the attacking duo with Marcinho on Sunday.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter shining in collective training this morning in Gávea, striker Obina practically confirmed his place in the red-black attack for Sunday's game against Sport at Ilha do Retiro.
"I hope the goals will serve to confirm my place in the team. I trained well and I hope I perform well in the game too."
The number 18 praised Marcinho, a possible attacking partner in the game in Recife.
"I've played with Marcinho a few times coming on in the second half. I'll be staying in the box more so the ball can reach me and I can have chances to score. It's been a while since I started, but I'm ready for anything."
A Vitória graduate, Obina has fond memories of facing Sport at Ilha do Retiro. The striker hopes to maintain his strong scoring average at the stadium to help Flamengo maintain its lead in the Brazilian Championship.
"Sport is strong at home, but if you want to be a champion, you have to win away from home. I have fond memories of Ilha do Retiro from my time at Vitória. I hope I can help Flamengo maintain their lead."
