Forward Obina received excellent news from Flamengo's doctors. His return to the field is scheduled for July. Initially, the Black Angel's return to the team was scheduled for August. With his excellent recovery, the player has managed to reduce his time inactive and is just under two months away from once again bringing joy to the Flamengo nation. According to Flamengo's doctors' schedule, Obina will return to ball training in June. Throughout the month, he will participate in training sessions and training matches to begin gaining match fitness. Coach Ney Franco is optimistic about the Bahian striker's return.

"The doctors gave us this good news. Obina is back working with the ball and will be able to play for Flamengo again in July. With his return and Leonardo's improvement (who was sidelined due to a right ankle injury), our attacking problem has been resolved," says the Flamengo coach.

Excited, Obina continues working with the physiotherapists and hopes to score again wearing the Flamengo shirt.

"I'm working hard and I never wanted to rush things. I hope to return before the deadline set by the doctors. I miss being on the field," says the Bahia native.

In recent weeks, the Black Angel accompanied the Flamengo team in two decisions (watch the video next to it). The Bahia native watched the second leg of the Campeonato Carioca final and saw the Red-Blacks win the trophy. He also witnessed the 2-0 victory over Defensor-URU in the Copa Libertadores. However, the result was not enough, and the team from Gávea was eliminated from the continental tournament.

"It's very difficult to be on the outside. Since I arrived at Flamengo, I've only had this experience when I was hired. I get nervous and try to score for my teammates," reveals the Black Angel.
