Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, hereby informs the Porto Seguro Cup Organizing Committee that, in agreement between the Vice-Presidency of Football and the Youth Football Management, it has decided not to participate in the aforementioned tournament.

The reasons considered were that the issue was not resolved within the established deadline through telephone contact between the Club's technical coordinators and the tournament transportation department, as Clube de Regatas do Flamengo had set a deadline of 18:00 PM on June 20, 06, for sending the delegation's round-trip tickets, later extending it until 2008:10 AM the following day. Since only one-way tickets had been promised by 00:10 AM on June 30, 21, Clube de Regatas Flamengo decided not to participate in the tournament.
