"I think we have an obligation to, first, get all the points. The three today and the other nine that are missing. We know that, in football, a lot can happen," commented the red-black captain.
Juan also spoke about the sequence of the main contender for the title, which tomorrow will have a direct confrontation against Atlético-MG.
"We had a very consistent team, winning every game, but out of the last twelve points, we got four. Nobody expected that, but it happened. And just like it happened to us, it could happen to Palmeiras too," said the defender, who added, "Tomorrow they have a tough game too. Then comes Botafogo, who made things very difficult against us and lost today, so they'll need a good result on Sunday."
However, the focus remains on their own performances until the end of the competition.
"First we need to do our duty, which is to win every match. We have one more this Sunday, and we need to get the three points and win at Maracanã, in front of our fans. We owe it to them," Juan concluded.
Flamengo will face Coritiba next Sunday (20), at Maracanã, with the ball rolling from 19:30 pm.
