Vasco scores!
- I think the only opportunity Vasco had was in that situation. There was a corner kick and then the goal, where there was a general lapse in concentration. It's not even a matter of training, but of attitude. We lost the chance to continue in the Copa do Brasil.

Premature replacements
"Today, at least in the first 10 minutes, we created several opportunities and could have sealed the game. The substitutions of Guerrero and Ederson made a big difference. Vasco dominated at times because our team fell apart. Based on today's game, I think Flamengo didn't deserve to lose the qualification. But based on the last game, Vasco surpassed themselves. Today they fought desperately, even though they're doing poorly in the Brazilian league. It becomes very difficult when we lose two players of such importance. Ederson had already planned to replace him, but we planned the whole game around Guerrero's movement."

Fall in the second half
- It was a game very similar to the first one, which I watched on television, back when I was no longer at Flamengo. Our team no longer had the connection it had at the beginning. I had planned to bring Cirino on in the second half. But unfortunately, I had to make that decision. From Flamengo's point of view, this greatly weakened our performance on the field. At the start of the game, with the full squad, we dominated, scored the goal, and created several opportunities.

Expectations for the future
- I'm still going to take care of this situation. I'm getting to know Flamengo. Maybe in a month I can say what our possibilities are for the year. I think that with Flamengo's potential, players I know as opponents, if we have time to organize, we can climb the table and, depending on how things go, I think we can improve a lot and fight for a top spot. But to be sure, I need to get to know better who I'm dealing with.

Expulsion

- I think the imbalance was a problem with the two substitutions we had to make. At that moment, the sending-off ended up happening. The player ends up committing acts of loss of control.
