Oswaldo comments on victory: "Confidence and technical supremacy"
Coach praises Flamengo's performance and the players' confidence in the second half against Avaí

The victory over Avaí was Flamengo's third consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship. With a 3-0 score at Arena das Dunas in Natal, the team moved to within one point of Fluminense, their opponent in the next round, and now sits in eighth place with 32 points. Besides moving Flamengo two places up in the table, the result pleased coach Oswaldo de Oliveira, who believes the team's "confidence and technical superiority" made the victory "inevitable."
"The way forward is confidence. In the first half, we weren't balanced and weren't doing what the team was capable of. I think in the second half the team had confidence, they really had courage. What I think was inevitable happened: Flamengo's technical supremacy and the victory," he said.
For the coach, it's also important to be cautious and take one step at a time. Regarding the fight for the top spot in the Brasileirão, Oswaldo wants to focus first on the group's development and then on a top-four spot.
"The team can't be worried about the top four just yet. Of course, it's a goal, but we have a long road ahead, with games against many strong teams that share the same goal. First, I want to focus on the team's growth. And then, later on, if we have the conditions, we will, yes, strive for a top four spot," he stated.
