The wide smile on striker Diogo's face during training this Thursday (October 28.10th) wasn't just because he scored his first career goal for Flamengo. The player is going to be a father in April 2011. That morning, he received the news that Enzo is on the way, and he trained even happier. Excited about this moment when everything seems to be going right in his life, the number 43 summed up the end of the longest goal drought of his career with one sentence.

\

"The bad smell came out, right?", he said.

The goal scored against Corinthians wasn't anything spectacular. On the contrary, it was actually easy to score, but it showed that the striker knows how to be in the right place at the right time. And while he's had bad luck on several occasions before, now he seems to be having some luck and hopes to maintain his good form in the coming rounds and throughout 2011.

"At the intersection, I saw Renato and thought: I'll stay quiet and wait. If he gets a touch, I'll finish. Now I have six more games ahead to finish this year well. Next year, I'll do pre-season with the group to start well and be able to perform even better," he noted.

Regarding little Enzo, one thing is certain: he's going to be a Flamengo fan.

\

"I'll push him, but he'll be the one to make the choice... laughs. I think every player who arrives at Flamengo ends up developing affection for the club. On my very first day, I received hugs, they gave me a gauntlet... I felt very comfortable," he added.
