With two goals from Paquetá and one from Renê in the final minutes, Flamengo thrashed Corinthians on Friday night in Itaquera, keeping their Brazilian Championship title hopes alive. Leaving the field, Paquetá commented on his goalscoring night and the great away win.

“I’m very happy, we knew how important this victory was. We have to value the game we played. We fixed details, we gave our all, our sweat, and thank God the goals and the three points came.”

Flamengo pressured their opponent from the first minute of the game and inflicted Corinthians' biggest defeat at the Arena. For the number 11, tonight's match served to help the group continue evolving in their pursuit of the title.
