Aiming for the friendly match against Atlético-GO, Flamengo concluded its preparations this Friday (06) at Ninho do Urubu. With tactical activity led by the assistant coach who is temporarily in charge of the team, Maurício Barbieri, the final adjustments were made to the team. Before the red-black delegation continued its journey to Goiânia, midfielder Lucas Paquetá gave a press conference in the Vitorino Chermont Press Room.

In conversation with journalists, the number 11 spoke about the match this Saturday (07) and highlighted the importance of the duel in Goiânia for Maurício Barbieri, who will command the professional team in the confrontation.

"We're working hard for Saturday's game, and it's a new opportunity to wear the Flamengo jersey. We'll see what Barbieri asks, and regardless of whether it's a friendly, we'll do everything we can to get a positive result," said Paquetá, who also commented on the work done by Maurício Barbieri.

"Barbieri is an excellent coach; he tries to explain what he wants in his role and gives detailed instructions on how to play. He's trying to fix some things that weren't working out so well, and we're focused on Saturday's game, trying to give him a response, as he's helping us on a daily basis," he added.

Paquetá also highlighted the importance of interacting with the more experienced athletes in the red-black squad, always seeking to evolve and learn.

Juan, Diego, and Diego Alves always try to help each other in difficult times and in good times. We have to stay calm and strive to improve. Talking too much doesn't help much either; we have to train hard to change this situation on the field.

Finally, the midfielder spoke about his relationship with Carlos Noval, Flamengo's new executive director of football, with whom he had already worked and won titles in the club's youth teams.

"Happy for Noval. It was the work he was doing at the youth level with his planning that led to titles for Flamengo. We hope to win titles with his work now in the professional ranks," he concluded.

This Saturday (07), Mais Querido will face Atlético-GO in a friendly match that will be played at the Estádio Olímpico de Goiânia, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
